Her grupta 2 dişi wister albino rat
hem de doğum sırasında işitme yolaklarının gelişmesi için oldukça önemlidir PURPOSE: Neonatal biotinidase has been shown to cause serious neurological
problems and hearing loss in severe biotin deficiencies due to enzyme deficiency.
However, the effects of deficiencies on newborns that occur during pregnancy due
to the mother's diet are not clear. In our work; we wanted to show how mother's
dietary biotin had an effect on the newborn.
MATERIAL and METHODS: Sixteen female wister-albino rats and four male
wister albino rats were included in the study. These animals are divided into 4
groups. In each group, 2 female wister albino rats were placed in the same cage
with a male wister albino rats and expected to mate for 3 days. Female rats in each
group were fed according to their group during the pregnancy period. After birth,
she continued to feed according to her mother groups during the breastfeeding
period. On the 40th day after birth, each group of puppies was evaluated with
DPOAE and ABR.
RESULT: In DPOAE measurements, there were no statistically significant
differences in signal noise ratios of 3000, 4000, 6000, 8000 and 10000 Hz in 4
groups among 4 groups (p> 0.05). ABR at 8 and 16 kHz; In group 4 latencies of
the waves were shown to be longer than in groups 1, 2 and 3. This prolongation
was statistically significant (p <0.05). There was no statistically significant
difference group 1, 2 and 3 between the latency periods of the waves (p> 0.05)
CONCLUSION: Biotin; the central hearing pathways. This study shows that; The
maternal biotin level is very important for the development of both the pregnancy
and breastfeeding hearing pathways.
