Okul Öncesi Dönemde Sosyal Duygusal Gelişim
Özet
Preschool period is a life stage in which development is the fastest and children acquire basic skills. The pre-school period is of great importance in order to establish a solid foundation for the social and emotional development of the child. Social emotional development is defined as interrelated skills that are built on each other to enable children to understand their own and others' emotions, regulate their behavior, have goals, show empathy and socialize with their peers. Social emotional development is affected by factors such as family, friends, teachers, academic education and technology. Leading theorists in the field argue that adults should provide an environment that promotes social emotional development and is socially interactive. It is known that children with high social and emotional skills in the pre-school period are successful in their next education life and adapt easily to school. Children with social emotional development deficits are at higher risk for compulsive behaviors, including aggression, delinquency, and substance use. Social-emotional development, which has a critical impact on children's future lives, should be supported by families and teachers, and education programs should be established in this direction.
